Hello Saturday, except you suck because I’ve been awake since 0430. What’s up, I thought we were done with that non-sense? Therapy later, lunch with a good friend after. There will be a bike ride today.

Don’t Buy an Electric Car

Electrek.co says:

For under $1,000 today, you can buy a surprisingly capable e-bike that can reach 28 mph (45 km/h) and with at least 20-30 miles (30-50 km) of range. In fact, the single best-selling e-bike in the US is priced at $999, and it’s a darn good one! Spend a little more – say $1,500 to $2,500 – and you can get a genuinely excellent commuter e-bike that can easily replace a large percentage of daily car trips, and that you can count on for years and years of use.

There is some great information here about using a bike, especially an ebike, for more errands. I can tell you that I no longer driver to the drug store, the dispensary, Home Depot, my primary care doc and, a 2 bag grocery order. And I live in one of the most bicycle hostile cities in Arizona!

Hello Tuesday! Meds done, it rained last night so everything smells amazing and looks clean.

Today is bi-annual physical check up and clean the coffee machine day. And it’s also record a new episode of White Roof Radio day!

Hello Monday. Off to an ok start restoring White Roof Radio from a database loss during a server transfer. Hope to have it corrected later today. I’m in a lull at work, so working on admin stuff like curating LinkedIn Learning courses and prepping to demo my tools (Voxsmith and Voxprep) to the entire production team.

Water, meds, ride yo’ bike!

Nothing like waking up to a missing MySQL database for the 20 year old podcast that I run. Nope. Nothing like it.

Playing with the site this morning. Just finished setting up Drafts app to be able to post to here. That way, I don’t have to use the Jetpack app. Ick.

I got tired of this one living in my brain. I was looking through the old database for donburnside.com and ended up taking a delightful trip down the Way Back Machine rabbit hole. So, anyway, welcome back to Wind(the)Frog(dot)us. It’s federated and has an RSS feed. It will be links and other things that I don’t want to share at my main site. Fun!
